I'm always bothered how Peter Townsend no longer came up. He was heavily implied though when Margaret warns them about letting Charles and Diana marry and forbidding him to marry Camilla. Of course, the Queen will never own up to it because she knows how badly she fucked up. She only responds through her actions by allowing Charles to finally marry Camilla after so much damage and Harry finally marrying Meghan.

Since we never even get a proper introduction to Margaret’s not-so teenaged children at this time period, David and Sarah, perhaps we need a spinoff series starring their equally troublesome family! You have the parents (Margaret and Tony), their stepmom (Lucy, Countess of Snowdon...well, there are two countesses but one earl, why not!), their half-sister but really, it’s their sister nonetheless Frances, spoiler alert - their other half-siblings - the illegitimate ones, some of Tony’s mistresses and his political ambitions, and everything you want in a loving but dysfunctional family and in a mess a la The Crown meets Succession!!!

Princess Marget life is sad because she couldn't have her true love Peter but was she willing to give up all the perks of being a royal? If she married Peter, she'd have to give up the comfort of her Royal Salary. The money was more important than love. She partied like a rock star. Was said to be rude and arrogant. Tony used to leave nasty notes in her books and places she'd find in private.
AskMiko 27 dögum síðan
She saw what it did to her uncle and she also didn't want to lose her sister, the Queen in the process. It happens in many families - not just royal ones. Give it all up for love and if it doesn't work out; lose everything - it's not like she could have returned to her original life if the marriage didn't work. That's a lot to give up for a man your family doesn't like.

As a result, having 3+ copyright strikes has my channel marked for deletion in a week. I'm waiting on responses from folks right now to try and get this resolved, but honestly I'm less than hopeful. As if I needed more reasons to stay away from ISpost, right? I'm going to lose everything if this channel goes away, but I'm sure as hell not going to lose this incredible audience and community I've created over these last 3 years - some of the best years of my life. @Lily the love that you speak of is youthful and ideal. Addictive. You become more practical as beauty and lust wanes. When you have had your heart broken, in time it no longer is about that heady, passionate feeling. It becomes more about who gets me, respect, understanding, comfort. Dare I say on one hand, who can help pay the bills, raise chicken or kids or on the other hand can have sex and conversation and still be friends and have mutual admiration. It's still love (especially for one's self) just different from how it's all been portrayed and without all that messy stuff.

But when love doesn’t come you just long for it, you think about it because you want it, and therefore you dream about it even though some people will tell you "don’t need love to be happy", but you can’t help but think about it and want it even more. You can finally have it like Princess Margot, live it, ad then when it’s brutally taken away from you, you just want to find it again, re-experience it; and therefore you desperately try to recreate this love that you’ve lost, you try to get it back with someone else but it just feels different and not fully right, you might settle anyways but something will feel 'empty' whether you want to admit it or not; however, most of the time, even trying to recreate that love, trying to find it again, never works because you can never get this unique thing that you lost again.

Margaret is Sansa Stark. She thought being demur, submissive, needlework, kowtow to those whom Lilybeth thought were approrpriate. Bam!, the light went on. She finally was able to tell the whole court, "-F'- you all! I will end you all.
Snuggles McSquishbottom
Snuggles McSquishbottom Mánuði síðan
That is such an absurd comparison. Margaret was never demure, she was always feisty, self-absorbed and stubborn. And no matter what she said, she was always a snob who played the game, in one way or another. Sansa Stark is a placeholder for the ways of medieval monarchy, given in marriage to forge alliances. That isn't Margaret at all. As a modern princess, she simply had to marry acceptably enough, hang out at Kensington Palace, cut the occasional ribbon or break a bottle over the prow of a boat, and generally try not to put her foot too wrong. Also, no one was actively trying to exterminate her or her entire line. Hardly Sansa Stark.

A little pronunciation mistake for "Les Jolies Eaux", it is "Lay-Jolee-Zo" rather than "Lay-Jolee-O". As you can see, the s at the end of "jolies" is carried over to produce the "z" sound linked to "eau", because "eau" starts with a vowel! This happens a lot in French.
