Critics missed the point of this film - hope it didn’t deter people from watching it. It is a great summary of 2020, putting so many events put in perspective and context of how events unfolded.

I feel so bad for Charlie Broker, he used to be almost objective, brave even great! I mean common people he added clips of "Adam Curtis's" highly controversial documentaries in his segments I know that, that takes guts. He used to try to make fun of both sides and though still skewed in one direction he always tried to maintain the spirit of objectivity so his segments were for me in a way a humorous call to sanity. The entire script reads like the last government-sanctioned comedian who was not canceled or shipped to the gulags in North Korea! They must have been working overtime since he does not even attempt to have a single controversial opinion that disagrees with the official narrative. The jokes feel so watered down by self-censoring that it basically became a documentary for posterity on the moment that political satire died! "Luckily they put the year in the title" I followed Broker's work and career for years, he used to be one of the last logical contrarians, using their wit and work to entertain but also one of those that pushed on the fringes of the accepted opinion's of the status quo and still incredibly get published, no easy feat by any degree, "this grunginess to it where you still have a small gasp and you think how did he get away with this" that took courage, that was worth admiration "potty humor aside;)". To prove it you need only watch his previous wipes luckily they go back quite a few years, making this work unrecognizable. In any case, I hope they paid him enough and I am glad for his success, everyone has their limit I know that better than most. In any case, this is a moment that should give us pause and contemplation, one more of the last remaining greats has sold out. For those of us who still remember what it felt like to think he will be mourned. RIP In closing the post from this person is the epitome of what I mean enjoy! This was soooo good. We watched it on Netflix last night, which is huge since I’ve refused to watch anything on television for months lol. It was hilarious but also 100% true which makes it terrifying. As thorough as this was it also left out tons...not that the extras were necessary to make the point of the longest and most chaotic year of my life (I’m 37). And the year isn’t even over yet. We’re sure to have many more “fireworks” in the final week of 2020 here in America. Ps. I sincerely apologize to the rest of the world for my country, especially pertaining to the past 4 years. There aren’t even words at this point.

US might have looked bad from the outside, even comedy making. From the inside it was like Russian roulette with assault rifle murder, police murdering citizens, domestic terrorism, bombings, Fascism, poverty, hunger, destruction of democracy, record setting disease and death. None of us in US are laughing at 2020, we're just dying at an alarming rate, at the hands of our politicians.

We all needed this. Loved every second and credit to all the cast for being hilarious.

Black Mirror was insightful - it helped us to understand some complex things - this film didn't do that. It seemed like it avoided the real changes of 2020. I was so disappointed.

Netflix is mainstream so I’m quite confident the real agendas behind 2020 will not be portrayed. Like the sell out Alex Jones...
